i've read that hairspray is a good substitute for grip glue. does it have to be aerosol hairspray or will pumped hairspray do? is there a special ingredient that needs to be present?

thanks dunno about hairspray, but I've used brake cleaner a few times. it allows the grip to slip on, then dries sticky enough to keep them in place. |

I've used the cheapest aerosol that hair spray I could find in the past.
These days, compressed air works best. Nothing to dry and bike is ready to go immediately. For better comfort, check out the bmw grips. Much better than progrip. |
