jezzuz... woke up at 1:30am on friday to help a friend smoke a beef brisket. shit takes about 12 hours to smoke. went home about 11am to take a nap. woke up at 1:30, showered and went back to my friend's place. ate/drank all afternoon. watched the skokie fireworks then went home to sleep before heading to autobahn.

woke up at 4:45am, showered and started loading up the gear. about 5 minutes into loading, i feel really dehydrated. i go into the house and start chugging a gatorade. on the drive to acc, i am not feeling any better even though i continue to drink liquids. get to acc about 7:10. we pit and unload. my stomach begins to feel queezy and unsettled. i start to feel like i should throw up. instead, i run to the head and have an assplosion. between then and 9:10am, i had two more assplosions.

advanced group started at the top of the hour. i was on the can for the first session so i missed that one...

2nd session i went out for about 7 minutes before i felt like i was going to throw up inside my helmet. wasn't that great a sesson anyways. that was the first time i ever rode the 07.

3rd session i lasted about 8-9 minutes before the urge to throw up hit me once again...

next was lunch hour. sometime during that hour chiefbd and maoisn showed up. by this time i was lying on a blanket on the asphalt. that's where i remained the rest of the afternoon. ass'ed out under a canopy, lying on a blanket sleeping at a track day. i did not hit the track again...

about 3pm i got up and packed up and drove home. unpacked at home, took a hot shower then fell asleep about 5pm. was woken up at 9pm to eat by monster. had 4 spoonfuls of something with rice then crawled back into bed and slept until 8am sunday.

i'm sitting here at work still suffering light symptoms. i continue to have bouts of cold sweats and my bowels continue to churn. although sunday i was able to eat 2 decent sized meals.

so my july 4th weekend sucked after july 4th. how was yours?

food poisoning??? Sucks man, I think everyone had a fantastic time except for you. I'm tired as fuck and other than a huge screw in my car tire my weekednd was fucken great!!

After leaving Autobahn I stopped by my uncle's place in Bolingbrook for some free food. I ate and took a nap. Was then invited to a BBQ in Plainfield. Ate and drank a bunch of free shit.

Sobered up around 2:30am and got home just before 4am. Slept most of Sunday afternoon on and off. Was able to mount some tires for Glenn later in the evening. Not a bad weekend.

[edit] All that highway riding netted me the best MPG the Gixxer has seen to date. 41MPG cruising at a very good pace.

oh, i must thank mikdivad for adjusting my suspension. my uneducated ass just threw the rear suspension and forks in without making adjustments. apparently, the compression was all the way out while the rebound was all the way in....

unfortunately, i never got to try the bike after the adjustments as i was sleeping on the blanket...

I got drunk and held on to a bottle rocket. My finger is charred.

If you think you are dehydrated, it's too late to start hydrating. Sorry to hear about a shitty weekend.

ooh not a good day at the track. Me too. I was playing motocross racer and fell out of the sky off a big ass jump and fucked myself up.

What's the damage? I want to try motocross so bad, I freaking love jumps, but I'm damn scared of fucking myself up doing them.

the damage?? about halfway to a living death. I'm hurtin pretty good. Lots of nice raspberries and some internal bleeding but nothing a bottle of brandy won't cure.

no clue yet. i can't do anything weekend of the 17th. haven't looked much past that weekend. what's yours, or did the wife put a temporary ki-bosh on your weekends until you make-up for doing a double last weekend?

The plan was for BHF on July 23 & 30, but I really want hit the track before then. But more than Grace, it's the $$$ that keeps me at home. Track days are expensive when you actually have to pay for them.
