I'm still a n00b here on 2wc and I have picked up that you guys are a little less filtered than what I've been seeing on CLSB which I hope will get some honest answers in the name of 2 wheel improvement. Well some may have already seen it, but I posted this over on the other site too, but thought I'd post it here and see if I can get some opinions.

So I've finally done something of my own to my bike that I've had for the last year and a half. I bought it with some basics already complete (exhaust, flush mounts, undertail eliminated) and have finally gotten around to doing something to make it look a little better. The farings are a little scratched, and its not the prettiest girl at the prom, but I still like her!

So I got the hook up from Dan at DGY on my new battery last week and on Monday I went and picked up my new ZG dbl bubble windshield. Here's some before and afters:

After:

After I got that installed, I decided it was time to lose some of the "Top Gun / Tom Cruise" Ninja look and took off the ZX-6R logos on the bottom sections of the farings. Again, some before and afters:

After:

I think it looks a little better, and a little less dated than before but if you guys have any thoughts I'd be glad to hear them.

Also, if anyone has any ideas on how to improve the look of the bike - anything that I've been missing that needs to be replaced or added, parts that should be painted or powder coated - anything at all that sticks out feel free to share.

Thanks in advance for the help and hope everyone enjoys!

I'm thinking rear hugger (CF if I can find a decent one) for the next piece and looking for any ideas beyond that. Any suggestions?

Can those halo's be run as the daytime lamps or are they typically run in addtion to the low or hi beams?

Or are they just kinda for fun or posing?

I LOVE the look of those bikes, them and the old ZX-9R (Like DevilDog has) are classically beautiful sportbikes.

they can run either way, if you go with clear, then your not a poser,
it just looks diff, and everyone tryies to figure out whats diffrent about the bike and what makes it stand out,
if you go with colors then your getting poser points and on your way to stretching out the bike and hidding flourecent light bulbs under the fairings.

Looks good except for that black thing under the head light. It looks like a shovel or something.

Yeah, that's part of the stock intake system. I personally thought it looked like a fish when I first got it, but it's grown on me. I haven't heard of anyone removing that either, but maybe painting it to match has been done before?

projection lights (angel eyes) have nothing to do with high/low beam. those are a product of 1) the vehicle's lighting system wired for dual beam and 2) the headlight bulb itself. most jap bikes run single filament bulbs meaning no high beam. if your bike has low/high beam out of one bulb then all you need is to find the correct dual filament bulb that will fit your headlight assembly.
