got up at 5:30 for work. got called at 5:40 when i was already in the shower saying i'm on call until 11am. cannot sleep anymore, despite only a few hours of sleep. FML

6:10 out the door is too early even for me. I am out the door at 7:30am.

he's done by 4 so it has its perks

I'm done by 4:30 and home by 5ish.

Up at 4:30 to workout, wife gets called into work so I can't go, and I watched the news all morning. The news is really just 4 minutes of actual new information that is repeated with commercials thrown in.

I woke up at 6:45am. Got ready and played with the kids for a bit, yelled at the wife, smoked a cigarette, drank a coke zero, and out of the garage by 7:30. This is rare though. Normally I wake up around 7:45am. Get ready, play with kids, eat something, yell at wife, smoke cigarettes and out the door by 9:20am.

just talked to manager. they don't need me at 11 but the chances of me having to go in at 3pm are kind of high. boooo. going in for 4 hours is such a waste of time.

welcome to the life of a nurse

It's not as glamorous as ER makes it out to be.

we are more well-staffed than the nurses so the chances of me being on call are much higher as a tech. nurses are very understaffed. we're trying to hire at least 2 more for our unit.

just saying 1/2 my relatives are nurses now and other medical specialties. your schedule has now become fluid

I wake up at 11, watch tv tkil noon, shower and stack my lunchbox, out the door at 1245, punch in 2 minutes early at 1258 and work til 11pm/2am depending on the night

And then you get your paycheck.

Everybody's got banker hours here. I haz no set schedule.
