Suh-C wrote:haha! you damn suburbanites. that's an every hour thang in the city especially in that area. I used to live a few blocks west of Mao back in 00-01 and that place hasn't changed a damn bit. well except for the condos that keep popping up and the poor scared white folk that run in and out of the safety of their condo. lmao! all you can do is kick back and enjoy the show but make sure you keep looking over your shoulder to be sure some asshat isn't trying to jack yo ass!

Seriously it's has gotten much better. The only issue I have is when they moved in the section 8 people. The cops tend to hound them a lot too, especially since the police station is 3 blocks away.

I don't need anything done, besides replacing my clutch fluid after the crash.

I just remember two summers ago when we had that big group over working on a bunch of bikes...like Misha's R6...good times.

Garage Mao is curently setting the wayback machine so that past patrons would be able to ride the fiddy, thus making it fair for all.

See you in the past.

As long as it's on a the weekend and I get to wear a respirator. And I get free mounting on my next set of race tires for my labor.

Bring your kneepads, I'll mount your tires for free.

Ok Mao what makes you better than the rest of the competition, I think Jims tire service on CLSB has the same price as yours what makes you better?

Not to start any Drama but just wondering?

I'm not better than Jim or anyone else, except maybe the stealership. But I do have my own unique qualities.

1) Location. Us city folks don't want to drive to Jim.
2) I do more than just mount tires off the bike. I offer full NASCAR service. Ride here, I do it all. Retention the chain, torque everything back to spec, bleed the brakes, replace chains, ...etc.
3) I often have brand new tires in stock at the cheapest price anywhere.
4) People who want to take their own tires off can use my stands and tools for free.
5) Very flexible hours.

and finally. I offer this as a service to the members. You are not indentured to use GarageMao in any shape or form. Want to mount your own tires? I will answer questions. Want to go to Jim. Go right ahead. Swapping tires at $20 a pop, won't get me rich anytime soon.

[edit] Yes you can ride the fiddy and play with the dogs while you wait.

A little history of Garage Mao for those not in the loop. I started riding in 2003. Needed my tires changed and everyone wanted to rape me with no lube. Said fock it and mounted my own tires.

Word got out. Many, many tire changes later, people asked me to start my own service. Donations were given. Newer tools were purchased and that is where we are at today.
