Buy a can of spray paint and paint the two kickstands. Wire brush then black rustoleum. It will look good for only a few dollars. Tow that pos to my house and I'll teach you how to clean the carbs. I'll do a house call, but for that you might as well pay CP prices.

If it's not too cold, I will do some of that this month. I have the entire last week of November off work.

Rode the bike home just now from Skokie. Took about 5 kicks to get her started, mostly due to my weak kicks.
Got her up to 60 MPH. She has some pep in her up top. Need to fix the leaky gaskets as the bike was smoking a bit but not too bad for a 38 year old bike. I may just leave it and slap a Harley sticker on it. Then it'll be normal.

Boy they don't build the like they use to. 38 year old bike. Carbs that need cleaning. Leaking oil and all. I still got it up to 80+mph and it was still accelerating. Damn traffic.

Hell no. I red line it in every gear. There is no babying this bike. Engines are dirt cheap.

I wasn't saying it for the lulz more as a recommendation to fix the gaskets before taking it fast again.

It'll get fixed eventually. It's a solid motor, I just need to keep an eye on the oil level for now. For now, I can say I own a Harley.

Switched it from GP to standard shift today. No more shift confusion.

I will get this bike running like new even if it kills me. I hope to pass it to my son some day.
