our HMO plan is $36.16 a WEEK for employee only and $118.10 for employee with spouse and children.

the full-time employees pay half of what i pay, both of which is more what i was used to paying....but $250/month for single coverage is a little ridiculous IMO...and for some reason i thought working at a hospital would have health-care benefits. guess not

Why not just get on his plan as a domestic partner? Will still be cheaper than what you pay as a single part time employee.

i read about that but i am pretty sure he would have to pay so much of my bills and he pays none of my bills and never has...so i doubt i'd qualify as a domestic partner.

I was paying less than that when I got my own policy through Blue Cross!!!! Either look into your own policy or you better be getting some kick-ass coverage!!
