While rolling down i355 today, my trusty Ducati '00 996s hit 5 thousand miles. I bought it with 4380, so I have put 620 miles on it this year. Average for this bike is 625 a year. While I have owned this bike, the only mechanical defect has been a turn signal bulb. Fuck your gixxers. Ducati rules. That is all.

haha he just got it back from Gus. It's been in the shop, again.

The previous owner nicked the fork tube. Ducati wanted $1150 for a new one. I went on ebay and bought both complete forks for $300. I added racetech springs and take off PP, and it feels like a totally different bike. The front was light accelerating out of turns, but tightening the rear shock took care of it. It handles really well, and I am much more confident with it in the twisties. Now I keep thinking of the 8 year old belts. It will get the 6K mile over winter.

I hit 7,000 miles this weekend on the Gixxer. Bought it last July with about 2,000 miles on it.

I went from around 7700 to 12500 on my 600rr so far this year. That ride to the smokey mountains helped out a lot though.

Last year round this time I bought mine with 8800 miles. I now have 21,500 miles

I like to drive my truck too

The car I average about 360 miles a week so that would put me at around 19k for the car. I wanna be like Mao, car has been sitting for so long it needs work!

I may have to drive my car today. After that, it is going to sit for at least 9 days while I'm on vacation. I'll probably yank out the battery and put it on a tender.

Before you go... Steve needs a tire put on really bad. The steel belts started to FRAY by the time we got back to Love's. He almost got it to 1 single long silver streak on the back of his tire.
