As my wise grandfather always said... "find someone to love you, and not someone to love." That is the key to happiness... for if both of you find that in each other, there will be no pain.

A new love is not the answer... it is being happy alone that will ultimately make you a better person. And, once you are happy with yourself, you'll be able to find the person that compliments your happiness.

If you want to really get a true idea of what you REALLY want/need in a mate... here's what you do:

Make a list of 100 SPECIFIC traits/qualities that you must have in that person. (i.e.: background, hair color, hobbies, job, etc., etc.) It will help you see yourself more clearly and will help you focus on what is really important to you.

I know some of you will joke and add the inevitable "I haz peniz" post, but this truly does work.

We were are all entitled to happiness and love, but we need to be ready to be loved and to love another. It's impossible to truly appreciate love and happiness without first enduring pain... otherwise, what would we have as a point of reference?

Ray and Greg- It's simple... your ex koolaids don't want you, hence the reason they broke up with you. Whether they broke up with you for valid reasons or dumb reasons, they obviously don't care about you enough to try and make it work so they chose the easy way out. It sucks to hear and it sucks even more to realize it and admit it but it's the way it is. The sooner you realize it and admit it, the sooner you can be happy again and enjoy single life. I know I'm not one to talk but don't turn into a wicked bitch like me.
