Here's the deal:
Weights: After a few weeks of acclimating to lifting, then pick your choice exercises to focus on for a month for each muscle group, spacing out your workouts by a day or two. Then reshuffle your exercises to keep your muscles confused and building. 6-12 reps to failure each set.

Cardio: Lower HR will burn fat for energy, higher HR will burn carbs/glycogen, and over your lactate threshold will burn through carbs first and then muscle, which is not good. Run around 110-130 HR and you will burn fat.

I ran 3 miles last night at 5.4mph at 8% incline. I was burning fat I guess. 635 calories gone

I didn't realize anaerobic exercise is tied to HR. I read it was defined by lack of oxygen hence the anaerobic term.

I weighed 180.5 lbs this morning. I think my frame is more appropriate for 170lbs. Someone who knows this shit tell me about atrophy of the muscles.
