With all the talk of crashes, squids, and other crazy shit I figure i'd start 2wC's very own gear thread.

Everyone wear all your gear and be safe!! Speaking of which, I still need to get proper riding boots.

i'm waiting for my new leather pants to be delivered and will be ordering boots this week, too.

the helmet/jacket/gloves combo is an absolute must.
i always thought wearing full leathers (pants + boots) was a bit silly for local riding,
but now i think i'm going to be gearing up more often...even for the shorter runs.

I always wore my gear when I had my bike. Even for short spin around the neighborhood.
Now I pedal on my mountain bike, and still wear helmet, gloves and riding glasses.
My friend crashed in the park yesterday (no helmet - helmets are for dorks), so for now he has imprinted bark on his forehead.

yeah, i should've taken another day, but i'm doing alright. it just feels like i have a really bad head cold: i'm pretty sleepy and worn down. i held off on the vicodan today because i had drive and maintain my composure at work, but i'm gonna be hittin' that bottle the second i get home.

no gene and judes for me tonite.
