I am not here to talk about the past. Ken and I have no beefs. I like the direction that CLSB and 2WC is heading. I believe in my heart that the community will be better in the current direction.

Its like being an event promoter at a night club, bring em in they soend their money get drunk you keep some door charge bux. |

I was told that they were asked several times in the past to do this, but they couldn't because of sponsor conflicts. Now they don't have that problem. I think it is going to be a mix of restaurants and retailers. I don't think it will be strictly retailers.

interesting. way back several years ago, i publicly proposed the idea of having bike night at my ex's restaurant in carpentersville. the idea was shot down fairly quickly, despite the offer of a humongous parking lot and food discounts to members.

I was told that this event is officially not a promotional event that is for the profit of CLSB. I was also told that CLSB is not a business any longer in the sense of collecting money or goods and services from sponsors. This change was made recently so I think that's why your restaurant idea was shot down before Cailin. It was in the business protection agreement of site sponsors or what not. |

The question that should be asked isn't whether it is money driven or not. The important thing to ponder is will the attendees benefit from this?

What makes you think I am hung up on anything? I was merely trying to sway people's minds from the entire money driven issue. My point is as long as the attendees benefit from this, it's a good thing. Not everything can can be counted counts and not everything that counts can be counted. |
