So, a little story for you guys...

As you know, I am a frequent flyer at Sofitel. The General Manager approached me as I was coming in with 4 tubs of alcohol. He basically said they don't allow the type of event I was apparently about to put on. He said that if he hears even on complaint, the party is over. I said we will be very quiet and that only 15 people will be there. He said, "You don't have to be whisper quiet, I just don't want to get any complaints." We obviously had more than 15 people The security guys were pretty cool all night and only had to tell us to be quiet twice - but even those were borderlines.

As I was leaving Thursday, I saw the GM in the lobby and thanked him for a great night. I told him we were all well-behaved and appreciated the great staff that took care of us. We chatted for a minute, he gave me his card, and told me to let him know ahead of time if I wanted something special like this and he would take care of me That initial moment when I walked in I thought the party was over LOL. I was crapping in my pants over it. It was nice that I and my friends had the next few rooms next to the suite so we really had no neighbors to complain

Great night everyone!

I thought we were going to get kicked out as well . I remembered people coming in the room telling us to quiet it down. I also remembered a hotel staff member come in the room and count the number of heads, by that point we were easily 30+ . Glad everything worked out and the booze was the only thing that put us on our asses for the night .
