I will shop around for the best price. I don't ask anyone for help, I find the parts I need based on my own resources.
Whats so wrong with that? As a matter of fact, I've rebuilt my bike, remedied my water pump problem, fixed transmissions, and not ONCE in the last 4 years have I contacted a motorcycle shop for advice, though I have purchased some high dollar items from shops because they gave me the BEST Price. I've saved myself thousands of dollars and endless amounts of downtime doing it this way because I am capable. Is there something wrong with that? This message was edited 1 time. I've saved myself thousands of dollars and endless amounts of downtime doing it this way because I am capable. Is there something wrong with that? Absolutely nothing. If you need dealers for absolutely nothing then I would do the same thing as you. In fact, I do this with bicycle stuff for the most part. I need dealers for absolutely nothing. But when I have a choice between ordering something online or giving that business to my local dealer, I always choose the dealer. I'm not talking about rebuilding a bike or loading in an engine assuming you have skills to do that, I'm talking about the choice of local versus online. I appreciate my LBS being there when my wife wanted a bike, and my kid also. I appreciate the local rides and races they organize and sponsor, the teams they help get involved in the sport, and the resources they provide to riders. I am willing to give them first shot at my business versus Joe Hillrod in Utah undercutting their price by $10. Here is a funny story. I had a guy bring in a leaking set of forks for me to change seals on. I took them apart, noticed the oil was very fresh, and the tubes were hacked to shit, causing the seals to leak. I asked who worked on them last, and he said his buddy because we were too expensive. He didn't have a seal driver, so he used a screwdriver to pound them in. Now he needed two fork tubes AND our expensive labor. He said no biggie, he would order the tubes online and bring them in. Took two weeks for them to arrive, and two more to install because we were "busy" at that time. Shit cracks me up.

haha i wouldnt say its bad. there are 3 main issues with the bike.
1) theres cosmetic damage from it going down, chips on the bars and plastics. 2) the carbs need cleaning because the bike dies on idle without the choke on. 3) the tiny pin that pushes in when you squeeze the clutch broke off and needs to be replaced. i ordered a new one but it looks like you almost have to disassemble the clutch handle to put it in. thats about it. otherwise its fine and would run great. has new pirelli sport demon tires on it. 11k miles. maybe 500 of them on the new tires. and its a 2007, no one wants that shit with the new sporty looking ones. at this point i just want to get rid of it and have it off my mind. so if anyone wants to lowball...

looking on craigslist now they have em goin for about $2500. so i wouldnt mind getting $1500-$1750 on it given the mileage and condition. i know its condition only needs some lil maintenance love with those carbs and replacing the clutch pin.
