Where's Ryans little bitch ass. Let's roll. I have a brand new motor in the kX and my tires will be all ready when I get back in town. I'll pick you up in the big, dumn, brown van with an ice cold cooler of beer between the 2 front seats.

IN! I have one other bike to get done this week to free up my lift then I'll get the ice tires on the CR250 death machine and hopefully modify the ice fenders to fit it. I'll probably have to have Gus make me a new mount for the front but I'll just run it without fenders if need be. I was hanging with you on my 125 last year, lets see what happens now that I'm on a 250 . Fill that cooler with PBR's and pick me up Sunday morning.

Come on out Bobby. You're welcome to ride my bike. This weekend might be spent getting the bike and jetting dialed in because I'm running a different bike this year. Whenever you want to come out let me know. You will get hooked on it though. It's some of the most fun I've ever had on a motorcycle, if not THE most fun.

I have an addictive personality, but $ inhibits my addictions. Pot is cheaper.

What day are you guys going? Might not get out with you guys until January.

I think we're going Sunday. This might be a bad weekend because like I said, I have to get this bike dialed in for the cold since this will be its' first time on the ice. I try to go every weekend there is enough ice and we will be racing the Steel Shoe Fund 3 hour endurance race on January 25th (I'm not sure if Nick knows it or not yet though ).

Just let me know when you're around. I really want to try and ride every weekend that the ice is good enough this winter. You can see how your old bike handles on the ice. I think it's going to make a great ice bike. I was always trying to wring out that 125 coming out of the corners and especially on the long straights. That CR250 is going to fucking haul ass once I get the jetting dialed in. You're stuffing more air and fuel in with the cold, dense air so the bikes run really well once you get them set up right.

No, it's like a road course dude... Tell ya what, we'll get a tow rope, and you can ride your cool snowboard behind me if I get out there.

There are 100's of screws sticking out of the tires like spikes. You get MORE traction than any street/track/slick tire would get on pavement.

Yep. I did the math once and I think there's 1147 screws in the rear tire, if I remember right and maybe 7 0r 800 in the front. There's a reason a set of pro built tires costs as much as they do. When the ice is clean the traction is unbelievable. One day last year the whole lake was perfectly clean glare ice. You could ride in tighter and tighter circles until the end of the handlebars was maybe a foot off the ground and you're sitting completely on the outside side of the bike. When it gets snowy it will get a little looser but it slides very predictably and as long as you have your weight far enough forward it's pretty hard to tuck the front end. The back will just step out nicely. I turn my front brake rotor blue almost every time out because there is so much traction there for braking when you're coming into a corner. It's hard to describe it but once you figure out how to ride the bike right and everything clicks it's awesome.
