There was a place in Joliet. It was a biker place. It had tattoos, service, a leather shop, a bar (with food), and a Harley dealership (I think it was HD). It didn't work out, and is gone now. Some friends of mine worked in the tattoo shop. It was here, but in the wrong hands.

My brother hangs out at a shop on the northwest side with a similar feel, but with not near as much money. I'm gonna try to check it out this spring. |

If it had been a sportbike place, it would have been much more likely to make it. |

no Philly, in the right hands, it would have dyno. And hot girls serving at the bar. It would also have a better gear selection. Put me in charge and the $$$$ roll in.

I sent the guy an e-mail and told them that he had some sport bike rider fans here in Chicago and that it'd be a place we'd wanna check out if any of us make out there. Here's what I got back:
Thanks for the note. You guys are always welcome. When in town ask for me and I'll get you a beer and give you a shop tour!
Keep the rubber side down... Dan |

So I stopped in here last week while I was checking out the Napa/San Fran area last week. I have to say this place is pretty bad ass! We stopped in on our way from Napa to avoid rush hour traffic and just hung out for a few drinks. $1 Miller light bottles and a couple other equally priced offers for happy hour wasn't too shabby at all!
I sat and talked with the ladies working the parts counter, picked up a t-shirt with an "out-of-town" discount since I told her I was stopping in just because of this thread. They also hooked all 4 of us up with a couple rounds on the house just for stopping by! They told me they had someone on staff in the garage for every type of bike out there... a Ducati only guy, a Japanese bike guy, a Euro bike guy, and even a Harley guy who is sought after by most dealerships on the west coast because of the work he can do! I guess there's even a family from NJ who ships their HDs out there just to have this guy tune them. One of the tattoo guys was there, did some pretty amazing work and the bartender was a pretty cool chick too. On top of all this, they had a dinner special going on upstairs for a Caesar salad, lasagna, and bread sticks for 8 bucks as well as a cafe upstairs. Pretty much has everything... I'll get pics up tomorrow or something, but if any of you guys get out to the bay area - make a special trip to this place. It's well worth it for the cheap drinks, chill atmosphere in the afternoon or wild times at night, and the great people working there. |

Wow, Adam, that's cool as fuck that you stopped in there. You should have jumped in the ring and gone a few rounds with the parts girls.
