So I left a little early this morning for a unit meeting I had DT because I needed to get gas. Since we have had some recent temperature fluctuations I decided to check my air pressure. Popped open my rear cowl and realized my gauge was with the R6 . No worries, decided to use the air system at the gas station since it has a gauge built in. WOO HOO, Im glad I checked because I was 10psi low on my rear! Filled it up to 34 psi and was on my way... or so I thought. About a mile down the road I throttled hard at a green light because the roads were merging and my bike fish tailed completely sideways! I managed to straighten it out without binning it, stopped at the very next gas station and bought another tire gauge. I was running 44psi in the rear, no wonder I had no traction . The previous stations gauge was broke and was reading 10 high. Moral of this story.. spend the few bucks and always keep your own gauge with you!

Those gauges are really sensitve and pretty much are garbage once you drop em once and you know how people at gas station air fills are... On the plus side you would've gotten slightly increased gas mileage as well as longer tire life.

I never trust those shits. I trust the 99 cent pen style air pressure tester more than the gas station meters.

At home I use a $60 heavy duty tire inflater with air pressure nozzle attached to my air compressor. I learned a long time ago, the cheapie tools not only don't last long but give many false readings.
