I rolled the dice and picked up used set of ignition coils on eBay. The seller claims they were tested and working. Hopefully he's not lying. I need at least one of them to work.

So my new (used) ignition coils came in. I popped them in and the bike runs good. She purrs like a kitten but then goes back to shitty after a while. Again I have no spark on the brake side cylinder. I am thinking oh fock! This bike is eating up ignition coils.

Turns out I have one bad cable from the points to the ignition coils. I already have a new points with new cables ready to install. This should fix the ignition issues. Chaz Goldstein wasted $33 on ignition coils for nothing. FML! I probably will keep them as spares or sell them off later.

No wonder I wasn't getting spark. The old points look like shit. Hopefully the new one should fix my issue.

Funny how the old ones didn't look too bad when they were on the bike with all the other old parts.

Just start replacing one random part every week and you should be fine.

I would have replaced the points sooner but I was not able to get the points cover off due to a stripped bolt head. When push came to shove though, I wrestled that focker off with a hammer and screw driver.

Rusty bolts you have no chance. One of the CPD guys at work loaned me his impact driver. Man this thing is great at breaking loose rusty old bolts.

Normally they feel they did half the work so it should be less.

That reminds me of a Cambodian joke.

Guy gets in a petty cab and tells the guy to go to the market. The petty cab driver pedals as fast as he can, breaking into a sweat to get his passenger there as fast as humanly possible. They get there and the guy says $10 please. The man gives the man $5. They driver says, no sir the price is $10.

The man responds with, "Yeah $5 from me and $5 from you. You got to ride also."
