should i take the easy way out and keep the over the fender route, or should i run two lines down from the MC. i am thinking two lines running down will make bleeding the brakes easier. would feel or power be effected much? already decided on the hel stealth lines. thanx.

Agree with Keggar, I love my new brake lines. They work so well, even without brake pads you can stop .

It's the same damn thing. Either you are splitting it at the MC or you are splitting it at the caliper. Hydrolic pressure is hydrolic pressure.

He is right, none of this will matter if your MC is fucked like mines was . It just looks much cooler with separate lines .

racers and trackday riders prefer the 2 line setup.

Unless there is an air bubble trapped in the line that goes over the top of the fender.

I sincerely doubt the extra .01 ounce of fluid would make much of a difference.

How would it get trapped? Can't you just open the other bleeder valve and bleed the air out?

FWIW, I asked Kevin from Safety first, and he said it doesn't make a difference performance wise.

If there is a y or another connection that just give air one more chance to sit in the line.

The number of connections are the same though. Either the banjo bolt is splitting the fluid at the MC or it's going to be split at the caliper.

Please help me understand why there is no Y connection with the two lines version.

just ordered the 2 line system from hel. 108 shipped. i just think two lines down will be easier to bleed. i am sure the manufacturers have a pretty trick machine to put brake fluid in the brake system on the assembly line where the loop over the fender is not a problem.

It won't be tough filling the system. Removing the old lines was messy for me though. As long as your MC works fine you will be okay. My MC was busted, so I went to remove the old lines, put the new ones on and had no front brakes for a 15 mile ride .

Also, with the new lines, check your pads. I ran my pads to the bracket and had no idea they were done because the bike still stopped excellently with the new brake lines , they are that good. I heard grinding which was the brake pad plate touching the rotors . This is how I knew my pads were done with the new lines.
