Ok, I'm going to go on a little rant here.

Why is it that kids, teens, and young adults of a certain culture aren't able to scoot the fuck over on a sidewalk when someone is approaching them? I've been doing a lot of distance running in the last few months and obviously encounter other people on the sidewalks. I have a built in instinct to scoot over to the right side of the sidewalk to make room for the people walking towards me - I would think that most people would do the same. It works on the roads, should probably work on sidewalks too.

Take last night as an example: there were 3 separate instances where these people would not scoot the fuck over and I'm forced to make a last second step OFF the sidewalk (whether that be onto a yard which is really good for the ankles, or into oncoming traffic) in order to avoid running into them. Seriously, the sidewalk is wide enough for 3-4 people to walk next to eachother, but you and your buddy can't scoot over, or walk one slightly behind the other for 3 steps until I get by? Are you that fucking proud? Can someone please explain to me why any other people I've encountered on the sidewalk can scoot over and SHARE the sidewalk but these guys can't?

It's a cultural thing. Some people feel it's demeaning to move aside for the white man. Actually I don't know why. People are stupid like that.
