Anyone interested in doing one of the restaurants for dinner on Thursday, the 25th?

I have tentatively picked Japonais on Thursday, the 25th @ 7pm. We will have to make reservations, so anyone who is definately in please let me know if you're in by this Thursday and I'll make reservations!

Where: Japonais (or one of the other restaurants on this list:
http://www.choosechicago.com/eatitup/Pages/Restaurant.aspx)

When: February 25th, Thursday @ 7 PM

How much: It'll be 32 bucks for the 3 course Prix Fixe menu + whatever you drink + tax and tip

It's a good opportunity to try out a restaurant which would normally cost a shit ton of money

for ruth's, $32 for an appetizer, entree, side, and dessert is a steal.
i've never been to japonais, but heard it wasn't all that great.

Japonais is a rip. Their neo japfrench fusion is an abomination of the beautiful simplicity that Japanese food is supposed to be. The techojazz fag music blaring through speakers makes me want to hurl sriracha flavored mayonnaise back over the counter at the pimply faced Korean culinary school reject that made it.

I like Ruth's Chris. One of the best chain quality steakhouses out there. It's tough to be a chain and keep consistent quality throughout their coverage span. Not the cheapest by any means but worth it when you're looking for a familiar place that makes a steak the way it's supposed to be made.

About that hot plate... when they say do NOT touch they absolutely mean DO NOT TOUCH as you can tell I've made that mistake and embarrassingly enough right after they put it in front of me. I turned my plate around the way I liked it and placed it a comfortable distance from me. The look on the waiter's face was priceless. It was a mix of I told you so and you're a dumbass! Now I always use a napkin or the tablecloth to touch my plate at restaurants that serve in this manner.
