approximately how much does everyone pay for health insurance per person? i just signed up today and they might as well just bend me over and rape me in the ass. the rates are almost doubled for part-time employees....but on the upside, now at least i'm covered

Used to be about $500 a month for 3 people, but because not as many people are supporting their dealers, wife went back to work and we are now covered under her corporate plan.

If you don't have any screwed up health issues, that sounds expensive. We also just had more of a major medical type plan, so unless this has a very low deductible or other perks you might check around a bit. We went to ehealthinsurance.com and got a decent rate before.

$250 a month for one person is reasonable. I was on a buy up PPO plan from BCBS and I was paying $175 a week for my family. Now I'm on a high deductible plan witch allows for an HSA and pay significantly less but got bit in the ass when my daugther got sick.

to me, that seems a bit high for one person, especially since its through your employer.
i think i was paying about $150/month for BCBS PPO at my old job. i have private insurance now that runs me about $125/month...not as much coverage though, and it has a super-high deductible. |

You have to pay more to cover the freeloaders. |

$600/ month for BCBS PPO on COBRA for both my daughter and I. When I was employed I was paying about $80/ month. Best plan ever though and I've never paid anything more than the co-pay.

Mine is something like $175/month. My work pays for it but it's actually a personal plan, same as if I went in and bought it on my own. It's the BCBS Select Blue plan. $20 copay for office visits, $10 prescriptions. I think it's a pretty good plan. I've only been to the doctor once in the last 15 years so they've gotten their moneys worth out of me.

Don't buy insurance. Just wait for Obama to give it out for free.

It's already May 6th, there is no way you will qualify for that. Good luck trying though.
