AT&T announced some changes to the iPhone data plans, but iPad 3G owners are affected, too: AT&T is doing away with the $30/month unlimited data plan. Instead you'll pay $25/month for 2GB:
For new iPad customers, the $25 per month 2 GB plan will replace the existing $29.99 unlimited plan. iPad customers will continue to pre-pay for their wireless data plan and no contract is required. Existing iPad customers who have the $29.99 per month unlimited plan can keep that plan or switch to the new $25 per month plan with 2 GB of data. The new data plan will kick in on June 7, but the good news is that folks who have the unlimited plan before that time can grandfather it. i like how att announced the death of the unlimited data plan the day after they increased the early termination fee from 175 - 5/month to 375 - 10/month.

yeah this may be the dumbest thing we've every done. the whole market has known for quite some time the all you can eat plans were going away.
it's fing stupid to be the first company to do it. |

the worst part is the $15 200MB plan. 200MB is nothing for an iphone user and these changes are targeting iphone users.

the new termination fee isn't that bad really it's not the highest on the market and it decreases every month appropriatly.
seriously stupid of them to be the first to put it out there and seriously stupid to not have a 5 gig plan also seriously stupid to charge 20 bucks for tethering fee without giving the customer more data. |

it's more expensive to terminate early. at $175 - $5/month, at the 23rd month of contract it used to cost 175 - 115 = $60. now it'll cost $375 - 230 = $145. that's more then double...

Our termination fees were too cheap for today's market and has been for quite some time. |

i dont think apple users eat up that much bandwidth, they just cause a lot of traffic constantly refreshing apple.com to see new products to buy.

they did upgrade the network moron. when your customer base is using 3 times the data of your competition there isn't much you can do about it.
