Very jaded. Just because I exercise a lot doesn't mean I'm healthy either. I eat the worst food known to man and there are heart issues that run in my family. So ya really never know when the big man pulls your ticket. I bet you just wanted to give me mouth to mouth you flamer!

I am willing to bet you will or have joint issues. Active people generally get those.

I run 3 miles every night except wednesdays because I be doing some curls for the girls on that day. I have joint issues but it's from doing stupid shit on a skateboard as a kid.

When I ran cross country in college, my joints would kill me. The nail in the coffin was when I pulled my ham string for the 2nd time. Ouch.

Already started noticing some issues, but not sure if they are getting better or worse. I'm gonna try some Joint Juice which just came out. It has chondroitin and some other crap for joints. I'll see if that works or not. After my half Ironman I am hitting running pretty hard.

I think the cardio would help but those activities uses different muscle groups.

After my half Ironman I am hitting running pretty hard. bro when the hell do you train for your mountain bike races??? Is all this running swimming business helping you with the bike action?I haven't really trained that much for them this year. I have already lost that "edge" this year, but I doubt I will ever really suck at it. I'll be on the MTB more after my half Ironman, because I'll be doing another Xterra tri and I want to frickin' demolish the bike portion. I have decent leg muscle and good cardio, so that helps, but if you don't train specifically on that discipline you won't have that edge you need to hammer hills and outsprint people for position, so I have to work on that soon. But this year was sort of dedicated to learning how to go fast in triathlons, and it's coming along. Swim is good, bike is still awesome compared to the tri geeks, and running I need to work on big time. After this Ironman I will concentrate on running foremost, but still have time on the weekends for mountain bike rides. Some of it helps, especially with cardio. Running helps with the biking, but not conversely. |
