You know there's some broke mothafuckas when $10 comes between scoring a sweet deal worthy of starting a thread or paying retail.

Second step is realizing $10 doesn't mean shit when you race motorcycles and light hundred dollar bills on fire every weekend.

I have some used pre-scraped pucks for sale. You get a lot of street cred with scraped pucks.

the one time I regret buying cheap was buying an aftermarket stator from CCC. Forgot the brand, but as soon as it burned again, they pulled it off their website. CCC said "go fuck yourself" so I took it straight to the MFG who gave me a refund.
so much for local dealers |

If they close up I would assume it would be after the summer at least. |

If they closed down, it's because their business model was not sustainable. You can't go around screwing customers over and expect customer referals and retention.

Cambo wrote:If they closed down, it's because their business model was not sustainable. You can't go around screwing customers over and expect customer referals and retention. Part of that is correct. There is no retail business model that is sustainable right now. The markup being made on items sold does not even cover the smallest overhead of a retail shop. Trust me, I know. Not that they didn't, but screwing over customers is a miniscule part of why they will not be around any longer. I love when people say "If they had it in stock I would gladly pay retail just for the convenience". Bull fuckin shit. CC had like everything in stock and sold at retail and still can't pay their bills or sell anything. Typical customer will go in there, find their size, attempt to convince the sales guy that selling it at cost will send all his friends in to buy stuff, or match online pricing, then get all pissed off when he can't get the lowest price in the nation, tell all his friends they suck and are overpriced, and order online. That is how it is. Typically a referral only happens when somebody gets a crazy deal and their friends expect the same. No profit in that. The only things that will save the retail motorcycle industry are the manufacturers or the general public. Both are greedy fucks and willing to sell out the future of this sport for a dollar today. On a side note, CC just sent back a shitton of Joe Rocket stuff for partial credit, like 8 palletfuls. Only one reason to do that, and that is to reduce their bill that is overdue and get ready for something big. My guess is you will see something happen in the next month or two when the weather changes. |
