2WC prefers not to lock any forums down as we promote freedom and believe in the free flow of information to the people. All people not just members. Thus we have not locked down this forum to members only.

This means that we the members should be more careful about what gets posted on a public forum. Do not incriminate yourself or others. It is your choice to post what you like but know in the back of your mind that countless others are reading what you post. 2WC prefers freedom and the community police itself rather than a dictatorship iron clad ruling.


[edit] Addendum. The only forum that is set to private is the Group Rides forum. The only reason we did this is to prevent random people from showing up on group rides and to protect certain routes. Group rides require a certain amount of trust and cooperation from your fellow riders. We would like to keep rides safe thus Group Rides are set to members only.

Post rides are some of the juiciest posts on any board. Personally, I would like to see this issue voted on by the people.

1) you are requesting to make this a member's only forum which i think sucks. i don't even agree 100% with making the group rides forum private.
2) there has to be some sort of control in place to help prevent jackasses like bob and the fish from posting ridiculously irresponsible shiet online. if you close it to members it would give these yahoos a false sense of security which in turn would most likely encourage them to post really outlandish crap.
3) as in #2, there really is no security for closing the forum. if someone really wanted to read it all they have to do is register.
