Well, I just recently updated the Hayabusa with a new touring mod.
Here's my previous post with all my mods about a couple of months ago on CLSB http://www.chicagolandsportbikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72292 It took one month from France to get the Bagster tank bra & Clip on Bag. I thought I'd have it for my Flat 5 tour but no such luck. So, here is my review for anyone looking to buy a tank bra/tank bag .. I purchased the setup from http://rideaddict.com/ since it's manufactured in France it will take about one month to receive the item. Side view of the tank bag and bra: The tank bag model is called " DESIGN" the inside is larger that I thought, it can hold a lot and with my Givi Trunk I might be able to go on a 6 day trip without a rear seat bag.
DESIGN - Specs: CAPACITY: 5.28-7.93 Gallons (20-30 Litres) DIMENSIONS: L -17.3125" (44cm) W -14.125" (36cm) H -6.6875" (17cm
My Garmin Zumo fit pretty good. I only added one modification, which was changing out the mounting stem to a longer one.
The tank bag clips on with D rings and you are able to unclip the bag and lift it up to fuel.
As you can see the tank bag is pretty large it can also expand.
WOW! The tank bag has a very large map pouch to hold maps or directions if needed.
So, with the tank bag removed you can see how nice the tank bag fits on the bike. The rideaddict rep said that it should tank about 10-15 days or less in hot weather for the bag to really take shape on the tank. It's also made out of a PVC coating and has a soft liner so it won't scratch the tank. For additional information on how it works and what it's made out of can be found here. http://www.rideaddict.com/howtheluggagesystemworks.aspx So, far I really like the setup and have already tried it out on a little road trip to Lake Geneva on Monday. The padding on the tank bag is comfortable and so far the quality seems to be well made and functional for touring.
So, I moved my communication systems (Starcom Advance 1 http://www.chicagolandsportbikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72292) under the rear seat; I didn't want to cut a hole in the new bag for a SAE power connector. Plus I like having more room to pack my gear, cloths, tools etc... for my trips. Hope this helps anyone looking for Sport Touring gear!
So, what do you guys Think? This message was edited 1 time. Last update was at 07/02/2008 01:45:37 PM |

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure the tank bag would match, but it turned out that the Gunmetal Grey matched up pretty good.

Did you try this site http://www.rideaddict.com/? This is where I purchased mine from the whole setup runs about $316.00 shipped. They also sell magnetic tank bags that will work with the tank bra. I have tried out my cortech 14 liter magnetic tank bag and it seems to work pretty well. But I think it will hold better after the break-in period.
If you call rideaddict and work with the guy named Faro you should be good to go. |

How about south AND west (flagstaff, az sounds good). I'm in!
Getting to denver is the challenge though. Most immediate states west of us are flat, gridlike and boring. |
