Sportbikes »Video from my NC/TN/GA trip »Go to message
Last week I was down in the Smoky Mountains for the annual yzf600r.com meet. I took lots of video footage and compiled it together to make one video to cover most of the good riding that we did down there. Thought I will share and show the people that haven't been down there what they are missing out on.
The video is about 20 mins long and I know a lot of people won't have the patience to sit thru all of it but be sure to view a little bit of each section of the video as they were all on different roads in different states.
Enjoy!!

Barber trackday...probably the most legitimate excuse and I really wanted to go on this one too.

I can probably lend you my uber hauler van if you want....I just carried 2 bikes to NC and back so there is plenty of room in it.
Also if you need something bigger there is a place called River Rand truck rentals on the corner of 19 and Bartlett road here in streamwood which is fairly cheap.

I recommend watching in Imax..... for the full experience

Acting like a know it all doesn't do anyone good much good in the good guy department.

Steve your body position sucks too

J/k who cares what his body position looks like ...he is one fast mofo

It's his toe sliders, his feet aren't up enough and his body position sucks.

Thanks for the insight dude but lets please not get into this as I hate arguing on the internet.

There is something serene about watching a 2 wheeled machine flying thru heavy rain with the riders knee on the ground.....Amazing

RAM mounts FTW!!
The tank bag thing is kinda cool but I prefer a tail pack to a tank bag as it gets in my way in the twisties so I would never buy that.

This is what I have and love it...with the 5" arm I have so many options on how I want to orient the unit. Also no modifications required as it simply replaces half of the stock clamp of the brake lever. Option for a second ball also available.

These are streetbikes Mao so I say it's possible.

Factory also take into account an occasional pillion so the settings are much stiffer than they need to be for just the rider.
Pretty awesome that they did this free of cost though.

do you go commando in your leathers?

seriously, glad you made it without major damage

Didn't think the under armor would have kept it in

Demo I'll take my chances with a flying plastic recycling bin over a tractor any day of the week.

Good ride Nolan....thanks for setting it up.

I had a couple incidents on the way back......twice on 20 I had to dodge shit flying out of the back of pickup trucks pulling boats. One of them was one of those big plastic bins.....it fell out of the truck into the oncoming lane right as there was a semi coming the other way which knocked it right at at me making contact with my tail bag....If I was going 1/2 an mph slower It would have hit me square in the face! I swear I checked for brown stains in my leathers when I got back.
