yeah that was an experiment...it was a local road, much smaller than the county roads. I wanted to see if any of the smaller roads would have a good enough surface to ride on as some of them look very inviting on the map. Stick to the couty roads you will be fine....just keep an eye out for gravel....one renegade farmer with a wobbly steering wheel can ruin a turn in one pass. You can a ride a road and have all the fun in the world but turn around to hit it again and there will be gravel on every freaking turn.

Suh-C wrote:heh. you can pretty much pick almost any road in SW WI. +1 almost anything west of I-39 and north of highway 11 is good....stay on the county roads and away from the numbered state roads to avoid traffic and Leo's. One look at google maps will give you an idea the great number of good roads in the area.

Nice riding with you guys......I have been scared of leading any group rides despite having some kick ass routes on file, as I don't want people getting into trouble on my watch but when It is a group like this its awesome. I had a really good time and my body has also gotten use to the 500 mile rides so no soreness either. We will do this again soon.
Nolan and Kim you guys did miss out on a couple nice stretches after Rockford but it would have made your ride back down to the far south much longer. I am gonna work on my routes a little more and I think I have a found a way to eliminate 100% of slab after Rockton. I could even eliminate the morning slab stretch too but that means it will take that much longer to actually get to the really good roads and cut down on our time riding on them.
Now lets see some pics Colleen.

I ride with STT sometimes when it fits my schedule and because autobahn is so close.....but if NESBA ran at autobahn more i would not mess with STT.
I also liked how they offered the no membership trackday for CLSB members "ONLY" but I received an invitation to it in the mail too since I am on their mailing list and there is no way I got that because I am a CLSB member. Also it is impossible to get the directors to answer your emails.
