The problem with FWB is that neither person is willing to discuss other people with each other. Theres this fear that one person will think it's cheating, or that it will hurt their feelings. Right from the get-go you should be open about these things with the other person and you'll have far less issues, and there will be less feeling of attachment.

i dont believe in FWB. if you take away the sex/intimacy of any relationship, all you have is a best friend. FWB is for committment phobes who think theyre not dating but really are. because sooner or later someone ends the FWB. and thats called breaking up.

negative. FWB works if both people are solely looking for that and can handle it. i am not a commitment-phone and i had a FWB for like 6-8 months and things were fine. no dates, no cuddling, no meeting the family, no introducing each other to friends, no getting upset if either of us met someone and wanted to see where it went. worked very well ;)
