I've been thinking about riding my crappy mountain bike to work. My commute is only about 7 miles but part of it is on a 4 lane road that people do 50-55 down and there's no sidewalk for most of it so I'm sort of concerned that I'll get runned over. That and after I spend 12 hours working on cars all day I know I'm not going to feel like riding a bicycle home.

Ryan I owe you drinks and a lapdance by a Manheim whore. Hey no problem! Glad it worked out good and it was a cheap and simple fix.
Thanks for the compliment and allowing me to pimp my auto repair services here .

Dam Ryan while your doing Fishes can ya do my truck as well? let me know when you guys plan on doing this.
PM's sent to everyone asking about my services.
After years of being afraid to offer to work on people's cars through internet forums because I'm not a sponsor, I feel so dirty advertising freely over here .

AgentofDarkness wrote:Did you do a drain and refill or a flush? There is a way to do a flush without a machine, but I don't know anyone that has actually done it. I bought a funnel from AutoZone that has a pretty thin spout. It is blue and has a clear flexible spout on it. The spout is about as thick as my pinky finger. I bought it for filling brake fluid in the reservoir but i ended up making a bigger mess. He's got a point here Flounder. If your old fluid was skanky enough to cause slippage you may want to do a flush on it. Draining the pan you get maybe 4 or 6 quarts out. There's still 5 or 6 more in there. Flushing it gets everything out and replaces it with fresh new fluid. I have the machine to do this. I'll give you a deal since I consumed a good portion of your bottle of Grey Goose on Saturday .

Mao, I'd give you that check for the advertising tonight but I just dropped in the mailbox, oops.

I figure you both also work on cars..the thing is my airconditioning is fucked and i can't stand this heat and humidity. Can you guys fix it? If you guys are willing, I would rather pay for your services than paying someone else. I trust you both so you guys can charge me whatever you want as long as it's reasonable. Again..if you guys are willing. Thanks! I'm a mechanic and I do side work.

Ryan and I, mostly me, really dropped the ball on those two chicks. I had them eating out of the palm of my hand but neither of us made a move. Ryan and I will have to discuss our plan of attack for future outings. The Cambodian cowboy shall rise again! Yeah we both totally screwed that one up. We'll have to redeem ourselves at a later date.

flounder wrote:My car's transmission was slipping and Mao and Phil helped me change out my ATF fluid this morning. Car rides smooth now, no slippage.
Hey Phil, if the check engine light came on due to that fluid problem, should it be off now? Cuz it still hasn't turned off yet.
Thanks again for your time guys!! Guess I was wrong, bet your transmission is still on its' way out though. Let's hope so because I could use the money .

brian, chigirl, and ryan it was definitely nice to finally meet you. ryan: glad you made it home in one piece...what happened with your debit card/phone sounds a bit nightmare-ish.
Yeah it was good to meet you and the whole 2wc/CLSB Asian crew yesterday.
I think I lose my debit card every time I go out in the city, this is like the 4th time it's happened. I'm pretty sure I left it on the bar or with the bartender. Nobody used it though so it's ok. All my friends that I know good enough to call for a ride at 3am are civilized people who are not awake at 3am . Luckily one of them finally answered the phone though or I'd probably still be out there. It didn't even cross my mind that I have a couple credit cards sitting at home that I could've ran in the house and used for the cab . That's the other thing, my house keys were in my truck so I had to climb through the window when i got home.

Good times yesterday. Thanks for having us over Flounder. I ended up going over to my friend's house in Bucktown after I left, had some drinks there, went to the Cubbby Bear, lost my debit card, couldn't find the people I went there with, had no cash or debit card and no way to pay for a cab home and my phone was dead . My buddy had to meet me at my house to pay for my cabfare. My truck is somewhere in Bucktown where I'm headed in a few minutes to retrieve it. I'm surprisingly not too hungover.
