I don't know either of you well enough to know who is telling the truth and who is lying and I could honestly care less, that doesn't matter to me.

I have seen previous posts on CLSB where Tamatha you have posted about being pushed or hit or something by Cheyenne and I have also been witness to you blowing up friends phones after you and Cheyenne have gotten in a fight and you needed help. Why the fuck do you keep going back for more? Every time you post about a fight but then get back together with him people question the truth behind the posts and also question your sanity. It's a natural reaction. I'm sorry to say that this is compared to the boy who cried wolf.

These are serious accusations and something that should never be posted on a public forum. If you are being abused you need to move on with your life and get away from him. It really is as simple as it sounds to just walk away from him. If you are just trying to get his friends against him and are exaggerating the story then you need to grow the fuck up and move on with your life as well. Either way, be happy nothing worse happened, trust me it can be A LOT worse.

I'm not trying to degrade you by any means. You just can't honestly expect everyone to all of a sudden hate Cheyenne because of your experience with him. You also can't expect everyone to automatically believe your side of the story. There are always three sides to every story... yours, his and the truth. That is nothing personal, it's just that obviously not everyone on here knows you well and I'm sure some people don't know you at all.

This is a very personal situation you are dealing with and you need to deal with it alone or with your family and friends. I can speak from personal experience after being severely abused for 3 years that this is not a matter that you should be publicly airing, especially right now while you are so emotional over it. I don't personally know you well, and you mentioned that you don't want opinions/advice, but you posted this "situation" on a public forum and you opened yourself up for commentary. Here is my humble opinion/advice.

1. Words said in anger are very hard to forget and impossible to take back.
2. Bruises may heal, but a wounded hart will always have the scar.
3. If someone hurts you once, it will more than likely happen again.
4. Arguments had while one or two people are intoxicated are NEVER a good idea to begin with, and should be saved for a sober time.
5. Discussing your arguments/fights with others that can not help, is pointless.
6. You can not sway the way others view someone, only their actions can accomplish that goal.
7. Once a relationship escalades to this level of anger/bitterness, it is best to count your losses, learn from the experience and walk away.
8. An abusive relationship can take it's toll on you emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
9. IF the love is so immense that you can not fathom life without each other, I would suggest counseling for BOTH of you, and taking inventory of the good and the bad.
10. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE... Love YOURSELF. There is good in all of us and I know there is a reason to love you. So, please muster up the dignity every lady should carry within her, and find a way to love yourself that does not in any way depend on how someone else treats you. You are worth more than these posts indicate.

I've been in an abusive relationship before and it is not easy to pick yourself up once you've been knocked down, but God made us all with one purpose in mind, and I sincerely doubt it was for others to hurt us. Only we can stop it, and only we can prove our worth. Cheyenne has been a nice guy to me, and I don't know his side of the story. All I know is that anyone can be pushed too far, and I also know that anger management would be a nice idea for a few others as well, but that's something that only the individual can choose.

Sure it's her side of the story and you can just leave it at that. If it didn't happen then we feel better because we call bullshit. But if it did, then not so much. I can't believe they actually arrested you for that. That's bogus if he hit you first! I'm sure it was so worth it though. Here's a story for you... I'm only sharing it because it's from over 7 years ago, my ex isn't on the board and because most people on the board know about it.

The last time my ex touched me he stabbed me in my tit and broke both eye sockets. I was in the hospital for a few weeks and during that time I found out I was pregnant. When I was released I went home to get my shit to move out and I walked inside and lucky for me he was home. Without even thinking I dragged him off the couch and threw him against the wall and choked him until he was blue in the face and then punched him repeatedly anywhere and everywhere I could. Police showed up and I fully admitted to starting the fight, choking and hitting him without him ever trying to fight back. I had a bandage on my chest from the stab wound, a cast on my wrist (from a previous fight) and two eyes that were solid black and had stitches in them and the cop gave me one look and told my ex husband to put his hands behind his back. I was prepared to be arrested for it and was fully willing to go to jail. After three years of this abuse, numerous broken bones and hospital stays it was so worth being arrested for. The cop had my ex in handcuffs and had him watch as I packed my bags. I took my keys and chucked them at my ex and the cop just laughed. I left and never went back. Neither one of us got arrested that day and my ex ended up having broken ribs and a broken nose. To this day I can't look at him and notice the bump on his nose without busting out laughing.

I always wonder about that. I've heard girls say a number of times that they can defend themselves just fine. Back in high school we lost our first basketball game...the other team had a great comeback and beat us at the last second. Ok fine, but then all the way back to the locker rooms, one guy kept talking trash and as we were splitting into one locker room and they into the other he yells out "hey any of you want to go? I'll take ya'll on right here right now!" Followed by a big smile. I handed my warm gear to one of my teammates and proceeded to offer him the chance to show me what he meant. The last thing I recall is him giving my shoulder one of those light punches and it was more or less a blackout then as I took him to the ground. I beat him so hard and was so into it that I didn't even notice that I was repeatedly hitting my left elbow against the wall that we fell by (which later swelled up to the size of 2 softballs). Apparently (according to my teammates) I was in such a rage that when they yanked me off of him, I took a giant swing at one of them and fortunately missed before proceeding to get back on top of this guy and continue my home improvement project.

So the point of that is the few times I've gotten into fights since then, it tends to be about the same. Everything is tuned out and my one and only objective is to take out whoever it is. Now I'm trying to picture a girl defending herself against not just what I did but what others do and do more of. And unless you're armed with some weapon and ready to use it, then I always wonder when I hear girls say it. It's not really wrong. It's just puzzling. When G2G and Jenya had their drama, everyone was siding with G2G automatically. It's not really wrong. It's just puzzling. When G2G and Jenya had their drama, everyone was siding with G2G automatically. I get what you are saying but I think this situation is very different than Steve and Jenya's. Tamatha does not post on here often, doesn't come to many (if any at all) 2WC gatherings and doesn't seem to be close with many (if any) people on here. She is asking a bunch of people that she's not close with to judge someone else because of her experience with him.

Steve is close with many people on this board and is a big part of this board so when he had a problem everyone wanted to help/ listen to him. Steve was also totally understanding to the people who are friends of hers and wasn't trying to pursuade anyone into hating her.

If Cheyenne is beating Tamatha then I truly feel for her and hope she gets away from him and moves on. I just can't sit here and automatically judge him for what she is saying since she isn't answering anyone's questions, she is taking everything said the wrong way and the few things she has said doesn't make sense. Something is off here and I'm not saying that I don't believe Cheyenne didn't hit her, I just think there is more to the story than what she's saying. For all we know, she could have stolen the key to his bike and he was trying to get it back and he accidentally hit her. Hells, she could have hit him first and he was defending himself. There are so many different possibilities and none of us were there so none of us know the truth and none of us can take this seriously.

It was found that when both parties are arrested, it had an adverse affect on the victim. First off, you are not one to call BS on any other person who posted in this thread. You are the one who is being questioned because of the previous times you've called Cheyenne out for beating you and because there are many people that witnessed you stealing a camera because of some jealous fit. Since you are well versed on the Illinois Domestic Violence Act then you should be well aware that when police are called to a domestic violence call the police make arrests on behalf of the victim and their welfare. If the police see any OBVIOUS marks of abuse then they will arrest the abuser whether or not the victim presses charges. They act on YOUR behalf because of your mental state at the time. This is to protect the victim from feeling any pressure whether or not to press charges because they are intimidated by the abuser already. If the police showed up and only created a police report without making any arrests then that means that there were no visible signs of abuse. You claim that the next time any of us see you we will see what he did to you so how come we will be able to see it but the cops couldn't?

It is truly sad to see how this all turned out... after some shared their experiences to try and better understand your position, you turn around and call BS on them, that is just wrong. I choose to share experiences because I have nothing to hide.

In matters of domestic abuse, the victim suffers quietly and eagerly wants to believe that the insults, belittling, hurtful words, and physical abuse will end, or at times will even blame him/herself, but it doesn't.... not until the day you're standing in a park, holding your daughter and a stranger has to interfere because your baby is begging that person to stop hitting you... it is then that you realize it's not your fault, and that you NEED to find the strength to leave... if not for yourself, then for the child in your arms.

Is it as easy as posting on a board? No. It takes all the strength and faith that is left in the shell of a person you once were, but with time, it is possible. AND, contacting friends of the aggressor is the last thing on your mind. Priority #1 is to heal, to get to safety, and to protect your child. SO, after feeling sympathy and offering my advice/opinion, to have you minimize what we have offered as help... well, it really upsets me. I, of all people, always try to see both sides, and do my best to give people the benefit of the doubt, even to a fault, but your last comment makes me think that you just want attention, and that alone distracts from the women/men/children that really need it.

If you are dealing with abuse, there are people that can help... W.I.N.G.S. will gladly provide you with shelter, counseling, and anything else you might need.
